General Contest Information:
This contest is open to any US manufacturer and/or official manufacturer representative. The product(s) entered can be of any type, for consumers or businesses. A company may submit up to three different products. Each individual product must have its own separate, completed entry form (copy this form). Products need not be new on the market. Products with new improvements, features, or expanded capabilities are welcome. Entry Deadline is December 31, 2003.

What Constitutes "Made in America" for this Contest?
  • The product is comprised of at least 50% USA-made components, OR
  • the product is comprised of at least 25% USA-made components and final product assembly is done in the USA.

Note that U.S. Territories are also eligible for the contest. Specifically, entries will be accepted from the District of Columbia, American Somoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Products/inventions that are not in production, but are ready for production, will be considered as satisfying the Made in America requirements so that the product owners may use the contest to gather exposure. Entrants, however, who do not have working prototypes are very unlikely to win the contest.

Remember: Your product/invention should be properly protected by patent, copyright, or trademark.

Judging Criteria:
Products will be judged by NMOA management based on: uniqueness, functionality, cleverness, craftsmanship, overall value, and perceived salability. Other factors that may be used in judging include weight, breakability, and reseller profit margin. Size of company or length of time in business will not be a factor in the selection process. All winners will be notified by mail.

All valid entries will receive a free write-up in the NMOA international newsletter Mail Order Digest and certificates (click here for samples) for four more write-ups during 2004.

Entry fees are payable by check, money order, Visa, Master Card, American Express, or Discover Card. Checks should be made payable to "NMOA".
