All Direct Marketing/Mail Order professionals are eligible to submit educational and informational articles
for publication in the NMOA newsletter
Mail Order Digest and on the NMOA website. Articles must not be self-promoting to your
company; they must be truly educational and informational. Each article will
have a full byline at the end listing the author, industry specialty, company
name, e-mail and phone if desired. If you plan on contributing often, you can supply us with your picture and
a short bio to be put on our contributing writers web page, http://www.nmoa.org/authors.htm
Editorial Work is defined as Points of View, Tips, How-To Information, Predictions, Survey Results, Statistics,
or other topics that educate or inform other Direct
Marketers.
Article Submissions by Non-NMOA
Members
Industry experts from all facets of Direct Marketing are welcome to submit editorial work to the NMOA for publication.
These submissions (if chosen to be published), however, will be available only to current NMOA members through the NMOA newsletter
Mail Order Digest and the Members Only section of the NMOA website.
Article Submissions by NMOA Members
All industry experts that are NMOA members have the advantage of having their editorial work available to NMOA members and non-members alike. This translates to thousands of more potential readers. Chosen editorial work by NMOA members has the opportunity to appear in
Mail Order Digest, in the Members Only section of the NMOA web site, and also in the Info Library section of the NMOA website. The Info Library section of the
website is open to all visitors and receives more than 500 non-member visits per day!
Concerning all submissions
There are no deadlines; submissions should be submitted when available. There are no length requirements; submissions can be as long or as short as needed to get the message across.
Writer Qualifications
It is important to the NMOA that we provide and publish "good" information to the people that come to us. Therefore, if you are writing an article from an expert's standpoint, please make sure we understand your basis of expertise. How long
have you been in the particular area you are writing about; is the information based on some case study or
is it the results of an individual program? We understand that people become experts at different rates of time. Someone with 1-3 years of intense work in a certain area may be twice as qualified as a person with 5 years of part
time involvement in an area. And for certain things, just knowing how to do it and explaining it in easy to understand language is
what's necessary.
