FedEx Kinko’s Adds Direct Mail, Print Online to Portfolio
FedEx Kinko's, an operating company of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), today announced the introduction of two new offerings — FedEx Kinko’sSM Direct Mail Services and Print Online — further establishing the company as a convenient resource for office, printing and shipping services.
For advertising and marketing campaigns, FedEx Kinko’s Direct Mail Services helps small and medium-size businesses easily communicate to target audiences. Services available include design, production, professional finishing, address cleansing and verification, mail processing, and more all in one place.
Print Online is the company’s new Web-based print management tool that enables customers to digitally send documents to FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Centers for printing. With the application, customers may select from extensive printing and finishing options, track order status, reuse saved print jobs, and review order history.
“FedEx Kinko’s is dedicated to building our portfolio with offerings that help customers address their business goals and needs,” said Kenneth A. May, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Kinko’s. “Our goal is to serve as the back office for small businesses and the branch office for mobile professionals.”
Proven and Convenient
Research shows that direct mail is an effective way for businesses to reach consumers and motivate them to action. According to InfoTrends, Inc., a leading consulting and market research firm, $64.2 billion was spent on direct mail marketing in North America in 2006, and spending is forecasted to grow at 4.5 percent annually.
FedEx Kinko’s has witnessed this growth over the years, and small businesses have long relied on the company for the printing aspect of direct mail campaigns. With the company’s new offering, customers no longer have to work with multiple vendors to produce a mailing nor do they have to spend time stuffing envelopes, folding brochures and applying postage. FedEx Kinko’s provides all in one place the services needed for developing successful direct mail campaigns, and its experienced team members will help customers plan, create, print and mail their direct mail pieces from beginning to end — whether it’s 100 or 15,000 pieces. Formats include postcards, letters, brochures or newsletters.
“Most direct mail service providers specialize in helping companies with very large mailings,” explains Brian Philips, executive vice president and chief operating officer of FedEx Kinko’s. “We are bridging the gap by providing the same services for smaller quantities, enabling small and medium-size businesses to have access to the same marketing tools as large corporations.”
FedEx Kinko’s can also help customers obtain postal discounts for qualifying mailings of 200 or more pieces. Customers may visit any FedEx Kinko’s Office and Print Center in the U.S. for assistance or use the online tool at www.fedexkinkos.com.
Virtual Print Management
Extending the FedEx legacy of technology innovation, Print Online delivers the next generation of print-on-demand and e-commerce, connecting customers via the Web to FedEx Kinko’s network of office and print centers in the U.S. as well as select international locations. With the new tool, customers may upload and combine multiple files, customize jobs with tabs and inserts, preview orders, track job status and pay online. Customers also are notified when orders will be ready, and a variety of delivery options are available including FedEx Express or FedEx Ground services. Customers may use their FedEx account number to pay for shipping.
“Print Online makes Web printing easier than ever,” said Philips. “This tool is ideal for distributed workforces of large companies and individuals working in the meetings and conventions industry.”
In addition, customers may sign up to become registered users by visiting https://printonline.fedexkinkos.com. Once registered, customers are able to set up preferences for a favorite center location and default recipient information, store contact and billing information, reprint previous orders, review order history and receive discounts and special offers.
