New Pipe Gauge for the Do-it-yourself
Plumber!
---

---
Save a trip to the hardware store on every plumbing project!
A pipe’s size is a mystery if you can
only see the outside of the pipe and can’t tell the size by looking at it.
---
For those the do-it-yourself plumbers that can’t tell one size pipe from
another by looking at it, a Chicago company has introduced a new gauge that
tells the size of a pipe based on the pipe’s outer diameter.
---
DIY Pipes of Chicago, IL introduces its new Pipe Size Interpreter; it helps
you find the size of a pipe by finding the best-fit semicircle when it’s
held to a pipe.
---
It works with galvanized, plastic, copper, gas, and CPVC pipe from 1/8” to
2” in inner diameter. Made of .020” polystyrene plastic, the Pipe Size
Interpreter single-piece template comes with “how to” instructions, is 3 ¾”
x 8” and is made in the USA and should last indefinitely.

Direct Marketing News from Hong Kong
On January 25, Gene Raitt, who agreed to chair the Hong Kong Direct
Marketing Association temporarily until a new chair has been found,
introduced Ruth Stevens as the HKDMA luncheon speaker that day. Ruth is
currently Chair of the Direct Marketing Club of New York, a professor of
marketing at Columbia University’s graduate School of Business and is
teaching at Singapore Management University for the Spring Semester.
Before she spoke, Gene in his initial remarks, described the apparent
interest expressed in the USA, Hong Kong and elsewhere in forming a Greater
China DMA to include the DMA’s in Hong Kong, China and possibly Taiwan.

How to keep your best employees
Why do people leave teams and organizations? The # 1 reason people leave
jobs is because they fail to connect with their bosses as leaders and as
people. People are rarely honest about why they leave a company. Too many
associates that depart follow Jimmy Conway’s advice (played by Robert DeNiro)
in the 1990 hit movie “Goodfellas,” who told Henry Hill (played by Ray
Liotta), “Never rat on your friends and keep your mouth shut.”
There is no upside incentive for the employee to be open and honest. Think
about it! The primary reason people leave companies is because of the
relationship and lack of emotional connection with their boss. However, it
is almost never talked about in the exit interview. Why?

Messaging Matrix Process – Taking Complex Lead Generation to the Next
Level
The messaging matrix is a strategy and a set of tactics with one purpose -
engage a target prospect in an efficient and productive conversation, as
measured from both perspectives. It is applied at the campaign level and
involves a series of steps. Rigorous testing, continuous improvement, mock
calling with the client and detailed feedback sessions are all part of the
process.
