SXE Noise Blocking Earphones are an exciting new product that combines the state-of-the-art in electronics and miniaturization with the convenience of replaceable SXE Noise Blocking Tips. The product name is an acronym for Sound in Xtreme Environments (SXE), and utilizes Passive Noise Reduction (PNR) to listen to communication or music in loud environments. The initial market focus is for use with scanners at NASCAR races, allowing spectators to listen to driver and pit commentary in 105+ dB ambient noise, but many other applications exist. SXE Earphones are ideal for travel to reduce airplane noise, work great while exercising to block out noise and allow excellent retention in the ear, can be used at sporting events, and plug into any portable media device (CD players, MP3 players, radios) with a standard 1/8-inch stereo jack. SXE Earphones are an adaptation of a product used by Army helicopter pilots and crews that rely on PNR to pass clear, desired sound through special hi-tech replaceable foam tips that block out background noise.
